[TYPO3] RSS Feed

Hello All, 

I've only been working with Typo3 for a couple of months... 

I am trying to set up an RSS feed notifying users every time a file is
uploaded to the site. 

I have successfully installed the push2rss extension, but it doesn't
seem to be able to detect uploaded files. I have to manually "push" the
feed.  I'd like this to be automated.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can do this?
