Yes, I already did. But I'm still recieving the same "Could not connect
to SQL database!"

I've added some die() arguments to the dbal and adodb extensions and the
installer does not dies. From my point of view that would either the
typo3 does ignore the installed extensions or the die() can't be
operated within the include files.
