The "solution": just restore one of the already installed extension! It's automatically "re active" all the other ones. They are listed again and the expected functionnalities are ok.
I realy do not understand this behaviour, but now it's ok!
Thanks for your tips.

Symlinks can most easily be described as being like "shortcuts" in
 windows.
For example my /www/Typo3 folder is not a folder at all, but a symlink
 to
typo3_src/typo3, and typo3_src itself is a symlink to
/www/source/typo3_src-4.1.3

There are quite a few symlinks in a typo3 install, I suggest googling
 for
some more information on how to create symlinks.

Hi Bernd,
I'm not a Unix specialist at all but my point of view is that the
 problem is
related to either a privilege or a symlinks problem.
Everything (file, extension) are in place under the right directories,
 the
"writing" privileges is defined on the expected directories, so
 symlinks
seems to be the best issue.

What is a symlinks and what am I supposed to define for Typo3?

Joel

Does your backup/restore have enough rights to read and write all the
files?
the list of installed extensions is stored in typo3conf/localconf.php
the (local) extensions are stored in subdirectories of typo3conf/ext/

is your handling of symlinks correct?

just some thaughts

Bernd
