[TYPO3] RealURL / URL Tool - 404 page

I added the following to the localconf.php file:

$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['SYS']['displayErrors'] = '1';

However, this did not display any errors and again just resulted in a
blank white screen.

This is a typical sympthom of PHP error. Enable error reporting in
Install tool and see what you get.
