[TYPO3] [comments_ic] not working

Hi,

I cannot get comments_ic to close comments on tt_news records. While
two new fields 'Disable Comments' and 'Close Comments' are shown on
the 'Relations' Tab of all news records, checking respectively
entering a closing date has no effect.

Does this extension work at all, do I have version conflicts or just
misconfigured something?

Any remarks appreciated.

My setup is: Typo3 4.1.3, tt_news 2.5.0, comments 2.0.2, comments_ic
1.0.1, PHP 5.2.4, MySQL 4.1.22
