[TYPO3] disable all columns in PAGE module view?

Is it possible to disable all columns in PAGE module view?

We have a sysfolder with soem tt_news records, which display nicely in 
page module, but it has  the columns above, blank.

I tried setting the page ts to

mod.SHARED.colPos_list=

or

mod.SHARED.colPos_list >

or

mod.SHARED.colPos_list=-1  (shot in the dark...)

but it just defaults to 4 columns shown...

any way to make this work?
