[TYPO3] Extension sr_email_subscribe crashed my site

Hi,

I was just trying to set up a mailing list, and imported the  
extension sr_email_subscribe to use as the frontend plugin for this.  
After uploading the t3x file in the extension manager I clicked the  
update button to update the site with the plugin changes. That is  
when the trouble happened. Whenever I now try to enter the site or  
use the admin backend, the following message is the only displayed in  
the browser:

TYPO3 Fatal Error: Extension key "SR_FEUSER_REGISTER_EXTkey" was NOT  
loaded! (t3lib_extMgm::extPath)

Any immediate ideas how to resolve this?
