[TYPO3] ie be login issue and solution

Hi I have several installations of Typo3 ranging from 3.8.1 to 4.0.2 and 
all have been running well. Yesterday I uninstalled Norton Antivirus and 
installed AVG with immediate effect... I use XP sp2 for my home machine
Microsoft IE 6.0.2.etc stopped allowing BE login to any installation
I upgraded to IE 7.0 and this also stopped BE login

On trying to login I got the standard Typo3 BE wrong username or 
password meessage.

Logging in from Firefox on teh same machine worked fine.
I've searched the forums and none of the problems (usually php version 
issues) applied. I then tried to start Media Player (to listen to music 
and calm down!) and that had an internal programme error the solution to 
which is below.

Reregister Jscript.dll and Vbscript.dll

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then click OK.
3. Click OK.
4. Click Start, and then click Run.

And viola both problems solved and logins work fine again! I guess 
somehow javascript became disable and even though I had enabled it in 
the options box in IE it wasn't working properly.

Hope this helps someone in the future should this happen to them.
