[TYPO3] Image problem with Typo3 v4.0.2

Hello!
I'm new to the list, subscribed because I'm having a very obscure problem.
On my page a PHP_SCRIPT cObject generates the content, which is a
simple <img > tag with the appropriate link.
The problem is, that for some unknown reason in FIrefox a
style='display:none' attribute gets added to the img tag, thus hiding
the image.
This does not happen in Internet Explorer 6, and I can see that the
page is OK, and the attribute gets added later (only the View Rendered
Source showed it).
If I type in the link I can view the image in the browser.
Does anyone have an idea why this can be happening? I've searched all
over the net but found nothing of use.
