[TYPO3] Different settings for two instances of tt_news on the same page

It turns out there is no condition that would handle this. Is it 
possible to do it via RECORDS? Maybee something similar to:

temp.firstNewsInstance.source = firstNewsInstance id number
do something to set the limit for the firstNewsInstance

temp.secondNewsInstance = RECORDS
temp.secondNewsInstance.source = secondNewsInstance id number
do something to set the limit for the secondNewsInstance
