[TYPO3] Does the 1-2-3 install tool use DBAL?

Sorry. I feel dumb!

I'm inside the backend now, ready to start tutorialling and whatnot. 
Once I'm installing this thing on the production machine, I'll write a 
step-by-step on the wiki.
