[TYPO3] Filter uploaded file name in backend

Is there a way to prevent user from uploading files in the filelist
module which name contains spaces and special characters? Like parsing
the file name and removing everything that we don't want?

A lot of our user are doing just that and then have problems accessing
the file. (the file link in the URL is full of %20 for spaces, etc.)
