[TYPO3] Keeping get variables after login

Hello,

I have a front end login box on a page which will normally usually be
called with additional get variables
(index.php?id=1&tx_myext_pi1[var1]=test). After login these extra get
variables are removed (index.php?id=1). Is there a way to keep the get
variables when loging in?

I have already tried config.linkVars. This works, but also adds the
variables to all the other links (like menus). Which is what
config.linkVars is suppose to do, but not what I want.
