[TYPO3] Slow TYPO3 page

Hi

One of my TYPO3 websites are kinda slow and sometimes the message "Page 
is being generated" is shown.

I have altered the php.ini file on the server to:
memory_limit = 32M

Shouldn't that be enough?

I remember having read something about a program that boost php 
applications, where do I find it?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Im running windows.
TYPO3 4.0.1
PHP5
MySQL 4
