[TYPO3] Multilanguage sites: mens to show only a specific language?

Hello,

a question about multilanguage sites: if I have 2 languages on my site, 
say English and Spanish, and have Spanish content on every page but 
English content only on some pages; say somebody is browsing the English 
version, on the pages that don't have English content, what does he see? 
The spanish versions, or nothing?
Is there a way for the menus to only show pages that have content in the 
user's selected language? In my hypothetical case, only the pages that 
have some English content?
