[TYPO3] Disabling Dublin Core Metatags

Ok. I will have a look. But I had already installed the metatags extension. 
I found a solution from a post of 2004 but it is a hack of Typo3.

Edit file typo3\ext\metatags\ext_typoscript_setup.txt

Change DC = 0

Is there a better way to do this?
