[TYPO3] memory_limit=8M

On another thread, i am asking about multiple sites on one installation.

if used in this way, does each site still have its own arrays in EM? so the
fact that we are experiencing massie server load when clearing the cache
etc, this will still occur if used in the way descibed above?

TYPO3 does a lot of memory-intense operations, starting with
localisations in XML format, large arrays in EM and elsewhere. The
framework itself is very large and very powerful, and any comparable
system would probably need just as much memory.

Keep in mind that TYPO3 is an enterprise-class CMS meant to be run on
enterprise-class web servers. These days, even a 32M memory footprint is
quite low, considering that comparable stuff like ZOPE or any JAVA
framework won't run on so little RAM either...
