[TYPO3] foldout menu problem-newbie!!

I put content in the divs provided in the html template, such as
<td id="center">
<div id="normalcontentshared"> </div>
<div id="normalcontent"> </div>
</td>
then style up the div's in the stylesheet.
this is all i've needed up to now.
