[TYPO3] RTE does not work in latest firefox browser

Hi all,

I found that the RTE doesn't not work in the current fire fox browser
but it does work with internet explorer 6 for some reason, has anyone
else encounter the same problem or is it just my browser ? I've tried it
on a few different machine but still it doesn't work.

I run typo3 version 4 on a linux machine with apache 1.3 install.

Thanks for the time guys.

Tan

Nothing, when you hit enter you end a paragraph and put a p-tags before
and
after, like <p>Some text....</p>. To don't get any space between, use
shift-enter
who makes a linebreak <br />. With css you can change the distance
between
the paragraphs.

But RTE behaves like it should regarding to paragraph end (enter) and
line-break
(shift-enter).

Look in the documentation for HTMLArea how to enable/unenable different
buttons/dropdown.
But normaly you shouldn't allow end-users to change font-size and
fontfamily
(and the font-tag is depreciated). It's better to define classes and css

who gives the user opportunity to do changes who don't break the design.

Wrapped in the span-tag.

I think, he will not even care about that. ;-) That would be our
task. And as the rest of the complete system is much more than the
application I talked about, he may even not notice the effort.

Well, most of the stuff would only be the frontend. The
businesslogic will be separate server processes, because there are
several other data sources connected, as well as other "user
processes".

Okay. I think, I will follow you advice ;-)

I don't know enough about the internals of Typo3, so it was worth to
ask. But your description sounds reasonable. I will then have a
deeper look at the frameworks you mentioned.

Sarting again,

i've installed the foldout menu extention and have inputted the
typoscript
for the constant and
setup fields as per Graphical menu typoscript example in the examples
folder
of the foldout menu extention. (in the ext folder.)

However, i've no idea of how to place the menu in the html template.
As per the 'Graphical' menu example (/ext/foldoutmenu/examples), i 've
put a
div in my stylesheet and
template called menug, presuming this is where the menu would go, but it
is
not showing apart from the marker being placed in the html code of the
live
site.
example site - www.studio-33.com

I have css styled content, template auto paser and html/css styling
installed if this may affect the menu.

I have been thruogh the typoscript ref. online, template building and
have
installed my template via the plugins above, not via typoscript.

This i'm really stuck with and am only asking as i have spend hours and
hours trying to figure this out with no joy.

regards,

Dave

Good.

The MTB tutorial deals with NOTHING ELSE. Are you sure you've done it?

Well, they might--depends on the TS you've used. Again, you're
expecting people to operate in a kind of information vacuum.

This makes no sense. EVERYTHING that you're trying to achieve requires
TS.

Question in return; if I give you this TS:

temp.testObject = HTML
temp.testObject {
  value = This is a test
  value.wrap = <h1>|</h1>
}

...can you get THAT to show in your pages?

Hi Georg,

Thanks for your help.

http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/search/cl_becache/1.0.2/ did the
trick for me.

Hello all

I run a number of web applications and a couple of quite robust typo3
sites
on a Windows 2000 Server box - using Apache 1.3, php 4 and mysql 4 - all
works fine. The typo3 installations are 3.6.2 and 3.7.1 respectively.

The server is delivering the apps and sites to a school community on an
intranet.

I now need to develop some new applications which will take advantage of
php5 and the new features of mysql 5 such as views and stored
procedures. I
would want to move to Apache 2 as well.

The obvious question is how do I go about bringing the platform up to
date
so that I can develop new apps and still be able to deliver my existing
typo3 sites. What would be the best approach to this? Should I use
another
box with the new platform on and install typo3 4 - and migrate the old
typo3
sites to this and then move them back again once they are tweaked to be
stable? How have others on the list moved older typo3 sites to newer
platforms?

Any help gratefully received

Thank you

I have a page with both a tt_news SINGLE view and a tt_news LATEST view.
The
first time I view this page, the LATEST view is giving a list of the
latest
news, but the SINGLE view gives the text "no news_id given" because
there is
not yet chosen a news item.

I found a typoscript for implementing default news id in Single view in
the
tt_news documentation. However, it does not work when using a
templavoila
template. Is it a way to do the same thing in a website using
Templavoila
templates ? And how to do that ?

Added the typo script from below and nothing is showing.
Sorry you feel i'm not being forth coming with aspects of the problem,
but
i'm puttin down as much as possible without it turning into an essay!!

The normal process of setting up a template would be have css styled
content, template auto parser and html/css styling extensions
 installed then add html template and stylesheet to the template folder.

For some reason, no matter what typoscript i try and put in the setup
field
to include a menu in a particular div, doesn't seem to work.

A small menu, i can input as below, but placing it in a particular div,
where i want on the page is the problem.

page.5 = HMENU
page.5.1 = TMENU
page.5.1.wrap = | <BR><BR>
page.5.1.NO {
  linkWrap = &nbsp;<font color=yellow> | </font>&nbsp;
  ATagBeforeWrap = 1
}

regards,

Dave
