[TYPO3] Using a Poll for the first time

I am using the Poll Extension that is installed as part of Typo3. It's
written by Ren Fritz, v1.0.8. I was not aware there was more than one,
though I guess I should have assumed that. I am not having a problem yet.
I installed the Poll extension that I found on my system and read the
documentation. It immediately started talking about the php files I have to
modify to get it to work. I was asking if this is necessary.
I suppose the question I should be asking is, Is there a poll extention that
can handle simple multiple choice questions, and does not require that I
modify php code to get it to work?
