[TYPO3] Condition 'if has child pages'

I want to show a complicated menu (in fact two HMENUs combined in one 
COA) on pages that are parents to other pages (have subpages). I was 
initially trying to use ifEmpty stdWrap, but because of the complexity 
of this object (lots of wraps) - it is never empty.

Therefore I have to implement a condition "Does it have children". I 
remember a userFunction code somewhere on Typo3.org but I cannot find it...

Any help will be appreciated
