I allways vote for reusage of well done tools that set up a kind of
standard like phpMyadmin. phpGACL reminds me to phpMyadmin from
surface and the richness of details.

The reason why I still have not answered to that thread is that
phpGACL seems only to know persons and groups but no roles. And that
is the disadvantage of such a fullblown but specialized software. I
expect that it would be extremly difficult to extend phpGACL by a new
dimension like roles.

The gneneric approach of phpMyadmin can follow every expansion of your
data model, but phpGACL most probably can't do this. But for details
you would need to ask the developers.
