[TYPO3] UTF-8 encoding in direct_mail

I have noticed the same problem even using sr_direct-mail. The problem 
is in the templates. When I upload them (made by an html editor) 
everything works fine but if I make some changes of the text in typo3 
then the characters/umlauts are converted into something not readable...

Any hint is welcome.
