[TYPO3] How to insert userfunc data as dynamic label for HMENU?

I have an HMENU that needs the label defined by a userfunc and I don't have
a clue how to start.

My HMENU special list is working fine and my php function is fine also but
how to put them together I have no ideas?

Even a little push in the right direction would be great.

I have considered it might also be better to approach this from a how to
change the initial HMENU page title to the dynamic value instead?
