[TYPO3] languages and logging

Hi list,

I have a website working on my test server, with 2 languages created 
following the Kasper's tutorial (new method). We did put the site in 
production, but there the second language simply doesn't work, seems 
like the variable L is ignored.... Any suggestion on how to find out 
where the problem is? What to verify? I compared 2 translated entries 
directly from the DB and they are exactly the same (as expected).
