[TYPO3] MSSQL support?

Hi,

Does typo3 work with MSSQL? If so, do the extensions work? I haven't  
managed to find a definitive answer.

I have been trying to install typo3 with a new install with mssql. I  
have followed the instructions at http://typo3.org/documentation/ 
document-library/extension-manuals/dbal/0.5.0/view/1/4/, except that  
I have not manually installed dbal and adodb, as these now seem to be  
part of the main distro. Also where "mysql" is in the code except I  
have replaced "mssql", and I have added a database name argument.

However, it cannot connect to the database. Is there something else  
that needs to be done? (I have connected to the mssql database using  
a small test php script using mssql_connect, so the database is  
working).
