My opinon: The default value 0 of checkbox  'Use references to templates 
instead...' is not a good idea. Another thing to put a page to 
Web-List..hmm. - there are newbees too. Why these thing not configurable 
at the extension manager? Or at the plugin.tx_thmailformplus_pi1]?

There are a typo concetpt: you could have 

- content element what you can render there? 
- template what uses html template, uses markers, subparts
- template (pure typoscript.)

I think that these extension would have conform to these typo concept more.
