[TYPO3] Joomla! vs. Typo3

My two cents/Euros, etc. I have technical skills, but am not a techie, if
that makes any sense. Being a sys admin is not the same as being a TYPO3
guru. I have been trying to learn TYPO3 for many months, off and on as time
permits. It is very dififficult for a newbie, that is for sure. I do mainly
political candidate sites and issue sites. Right now, I am using Joomla, it
does the job for the most part, but lacks all the features and flexibility
of TYPO3. Joomla is OK for the interim, but I am convinced that TYPO3 is
what I need. It has every feature that I could ever want. I just have to get
through the learning curve and, if I get a big contract (a couple are in the
works), I will hire a TYPO3 expert to help me. My point is that I know that
TYPO3 is the answer to my dreams, I just have to figure out how to use it. I
am determined to do so. So, do what I do. Use Joomla/Drupal, etc, but use
your spare time to learn TYPO3. That is what I am doing and I know I will be
rewarded when I finally get there with TYPO3. And, I will say, I have
received incredible help from the typo lists. Maybe they realize that I am
not looking for the easy solution and am serious about learning TYPO3. I
will also say that I may be an extreme case in that I am having a harder
time with it than most. But, TYPO3 is the promised land, I am convinced of
that, and that is where I want to be.
