Agree with you Dmitry. Have made xhtml tableless design with TV since TYPO3 
version 3.6.2 (october 2004). Most of extensions has been easy to change 
templates on. Even using classic templating on version 3.7 and CSS styled 
content had nice xhtml output.

This review published by IBM shows lack of knowlegde about TYPO3.
