I don't think it would make a good protection.
1. providing the solution in a hidden field will support robots to misuse
the form. At least you have to encrypt the solution (e.g. md5)

2. you can handle only simple math (2+2, 5*3) which every robot can handle
with eval() or you have to provide a lot of work into translation (multiply
3 by 5, add 4 and 6, teile 10 durch 2, subtrahiere 4 von 7) for every
language you target.

3. and don't forget that a lot of people don't know that 2+3*5 gives 17
instead of 25 ;-)


there are similar attempts to ask questions about real-world which could be
answered by 'every' human. but the term 'every' belongs only to a small
specific group of all mankind. (don't mention all the misspellings) 
('who is president of USA?', 'who invented the light-bulb?', 'which nation
won the football-wm 2002?')
