I has been playing with patches downloaded from 
http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=277 during last hours with no success. 
  It was your patch that did the work though I manually applied it to 
the lang.php from version 3.8.1 which I use (forgot to mention it when I 
sent the first mail).
