[TYPO3] find out rootpage

Hello,

in my BE newshook I need to find out the rootpage/startpage of my 
typo3web. How can I do that?

$GLOBALS['TSFE']->id and $GLOBALS['TSBE']->id does not work.
Also cObj does not work in BE.

Any ideas, hints, suggestions?
