[TYPO3] elminate attributes for search form submit image

Hi list,
just can't find it: I use an image as submit button in a standard 
search. For xhtml 1.0 transitional validation I need to eleminate the 
image attributes of the submit button in the search form.
tt_content.search.30.params.submit  >

doesn't work.
Any ideas?
