[TYPO3] When I move code from a static template to the constants / setup sections, the page does not display everything

Dear Everyone:

I have installed the defaultstatic_tmpl extension onto a Typo3 site.

I have created a page, ticked the clear constants and setup boxes and ticked "rootlevel", added the Gluck standard template, added content to the normal column. Both the menus and normal column display content normally.

However, I am having a small problem when I try to modify the typoscript code of the template.

I have:

1. created a different page
2. ticked the clear constants and setup boxes and also ticked "rootlevel"
3. copied the typoscript from the /ext/defaultstatic_tmpl/gluck/static/constants.txt and pasted it into the constants section of template page's constant section
4. copied the typoscript from the /ext/defaultstatic_tmpl/gluck/static/setup.txt and pasted it the setup section of template page's setup section
5. Added content to the normal column

The menus on this page work fine, but the content I have put in the normal column does not display. I have deleted and added this content numerous times as well as cleared the cache numerous times and still have not had any luck.

Can any of you think of what I am doing wrong?

Many thanks,

Tony Caskey
