[TYPO3] tt_news: LIST always shows all the news already

Hello out there

I'd like to do the following: Having a page with the AMENU at top and the News 
LIST under it. So you can select from the AMENU the news from the month 
above. 
But my LIST thing already shows __all__ the news even when I did not select 
anything in the AMENU. How can I get rid of that? Or at least say the - for 
example - just the latest month of news is displayed?
