You shouldn't change the client but the stuff this client should read.
Switch to news.netfielders.de and see nice threading and all the other
things newsgroups are famous for.

BTW: If you really like to use a forum, try this one:

http://support.typo3.org

It doesn't contain all the NGs but at least the main lists _and_ it offers a
knowledge base.
The KB is just a few weeks old, so don't expect too much in there, but you
could write down the solutions you found to make life easier for other
beginners.
