[TYPO3] BREADCRUMBS

Jamie, I'd like to use this approach, however my setup is a bit weird, 
most of my pages use an FCE or the tt_news single page template for the 
main content areas.  The rest of the site's design like the banner is in 
the main html, which is also used for the homepage (but I dont want the 
homepage to have breadcrumbs).

So my question is, how can I make this appear for my FCE and tt_news 
correctly, but not for my main pages?  I have 3 subsites and they all 
use the same template, and I dont want the root pages of these subsites 
to have any breadcrumbs.  Can I exclude them from having a breadcrumb?

Also, I assume that the best way would be to map the breadcrumb on the 
main HTML file, so that it appears on ALL pages, but then exclude some 
pages from having it if possible?
