[TYPO3] workflow troubles

sorry for hacking the thread, on my first try! so here again.

hi all,

has somebody managed to setup soomthly working workflows (sys_workflows 
NOT workspaces) with more than one group user for creator, target, 
reviewer, publisher vor different parts of the pagetree?

if not how to you solve common workflows with states like following.

creator(s) - starts workflow
target(s) - executes work
reviewer(s) - reviews
publisher(s) - publish done work -> suprise eh ;)

if one probaly go the workspaces way - is there a possiblity to trigger 
an action. ex. users in customworkspace x get a message, please 
create/update page whatever?
