[TYPO3] Installing Google Analytics Extensions

I am trying to make the google analytics extension function properly  
(Extension Key: m1_google_analytics)

i have installed the extension from the repository but i am unsure of  
where to place the code.

the users manual says to place code:

> page {                config.googleAnalytics_account = (your  
> account #)
> config.googleAnalytics_trackDownloads = (1 or 0)
> config.googleAnalytics_trackExternal = (prefix)           }

in my template.

is that in the template record within typo3 and if so, where in that  
record do i place this TypoScript?
do i put it within the setup area?
