[TYPO3] Typo3 4.0 and GIFBUILDER or GMENU

Hi folks,

i habve a strange problem. I tried to generate a
gif by GIFBUILDER but nothing happens. So i tried
the same ts-code within a 3.8 installation and it works.

So i tried to render a GMENU for testing in Typo3 4.0,
but also nothing happend. I validate the setitings at
the install-tool and didn't find any error.

Where could be the problem located.
