Well, I didn't get the question in the second paragraph, but maybe this
is a workaround to solve the problem described in the first one:

It is possible to search the listarchives (from 2003 until now) with google:
[search phrase] site:lists.netfielders.de

What do you mean with news plugin refusing to save an image?
