[Typo3] Where is the "Version" extension?

The tt_news documentations says:
"If the extension "version" is enabled on the system, a new "code"
(VERSION_PREVIEW) will be added...."
 
I've gone through the full list of extensions and can't find one called
"Version." If I search for "version" in the repository, the search returns
all the extensions. Google has not helped either.
 
Does this extension exist?
