[Typo3] Thai sharacters in typo3

Hi,

I tried the demo, typing in a few Thai characters, and they displayed
correctly. Great!
But the edit window showed them as unicode in numeric notation, i.e.
#nnnn. 
That will be hard to edit!

Can I fix this?

I'm thinking of starting an over the wire newspaper and it needs to be
in Thai, in Thailand.
