[Typo3] How do you change Email Subject labels in sr_feuser_register?

I'm having a problem working out how to change the labels used by the 
sr_feuser_register extension for the "Receive news on any of these 
subjects?" section of the form. I'm not convinced that editing the top 
level locallang.php for the extension is a good idea, but I can't seem 
to override it anywhere.

Any suggestions?
