[Typo3] <P>-tags from RTE are not rendered in FE (CSS_styled_content, 3.7.1), only <br />

Hello!

When I am using the RTE with (CSS_styled_content, TYPO3 3.7.1), the 
<P>-tags are not rendered in the front-end, only <br /> are displayed.

AFAIK, I did not change any default configurations for the RTE.

Any ideas where to look at/how to solve this problem?
