Thanx Peter that is what I meant...
I am sorry maybe that I have to read about the way I
should form questions beside improving my writing
skills, i have a feeling that i was to drive some guys
crazy :-(
I think now, I have to find out how to deal with
writing extensions! my way of learning is top-down
oriented!
The moral of story is:
my website contains some information in already
created DB2 tables. The rest of information is simple
contents that typo3 can deal with directly -as far as
I know-... Besides, I want to add a news facility, a
list of files that users can download and browse and
the like functionalities...
Whatever I want from Typo3! My question was: can I use
any database system or should I migrate my db to
mysql?
Beside: can I create a db-model from inside typo3 or
he has nothing to do with that? because I was confused
when I saw that phpMyAdmin give me the ability to
create new tables! hence I thaught that I should
create my own db tables using phpMyAdmin!
am I clear now? i hope so!
Peace!
Moha
