Thanks for the info. I managed to do it with an extension that allows to 
insert a PHP script onto a page as a content element. I still do want to 
do it ts way though. It will not satisfy me to use extensions for such a 
trivial tasks as running some PHP code inside a PHP made system. Quite 
in fact it was stunning to me to find that it is so complicated in the 
first place.
