[Typo3] eu_ldap can only find 0 users

Ugh! Strike two, as I solve a problem after talking through it in a mail 
list posting... *sigh* Turns out that the problem appears to have my use 
of a short user name "user" instead of using full "user at domain". As soon 
as I tried this, the BE module started binding just fine.
