We are using Compaq server ML 350 G2
intel proc 2 Gh
3 GB RAM

Typo3 3.8

Only one site is running on this typo3 install, before migrating to
typo3 this site had +- 10 000 visitors per day, and 140 000 page views
per day.
One week after migtating to typo3 we have big problems with speed of
page generation. I think that it `s a cache problem with our main page.
For more than 40% of visitors "Page is being..." is generated :) on main
page, on "inside pages" this message is rare.
In effect apache receive a big number of http requests and it slows down
significantly.

Here is the list of extensions used on main page:
tt_news (3 times - to show news from 3 different cat)
top_content (3 times to show content from 3 diff branches)
meta
It seems to me that main page is not cached, but i don`t know why?

Where is the answer?

Best regards
Piotr Burda
