[Typo3] Click-enlarge - image resized

One of my editors uploaded a rather large image to the site (something
like 1200x800). It is sort of a poster.

Click-enlarge is enabled for the image on the page. However, when the
image opens, it is resized to 600x400 or something. For some odd
reason Typo wouldn't display the original image.

Why could that be? I guess it could be some obscure setting...
